Doug Lyons

Camp Leader:

After his time as a camper, Doug became a member of the Champion Soccer staff in 2012 once he graduated from Wayland. At Wayland Doug was a three-year varsity starter and a two time Dual-County League All-star. His senior season Doug helped lead the Warriors as a co-captain to their best playoff run since Charles captained the Warriors to their first and only state title (2001). Additionally, Doug served as a varsity captain on the hockey and lacrosse teams. He was able to earn himself a spot as on the DCL-MVC first team All-star in varsity hockey. Doug finished his high school career having appeared in 17 MIAA state tournament games and was awarded the Dual-County League Sportsman of the year award in 2012.

After graduation, Doug did a postgraduate year at Bridgton Academy (North Bridton, ME). He is currently studying at Trinity College (Hartford, CT). Doug is working toward majors in Economics and Computer Science. He plays on the Trinity men’s club soccer team alongside Chris D’Amico. His favorite camp game of all time is star wars.
